Obituary of Lillian Margaret Currah

Currah: Lillian Margaret (Hopper), formerly of Rutherford, passed away peacefully at the Oak's Retirement Village, Wallaceburg on Wednesday June 28, 2023 at the age of 89. Born in Chatham Twp., daughter of Lewis and Myrtle (Smith) Hopper. Beloved wife of the late Claude Currah. Loving mother of Lynda Johnson (Larry), Will Currah (Lise). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Michael Currah (Shannon), Shawna Deprez (Shaun),Roxanne Hendrick (Paul), Stacey Gauthier (Kurtis), Allan Boutin, and great grandchildren Easton, Emersyn, Aubree, Jackson, Kaydence, Hunter, Brayden and Kelsey. Dear sister of Millard Hopper (Ila), Allan Hopper (Florence). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Lois Rumble, Lyda Schultz, and brothers Floyd, Harry and Ronald Hopper. A Private Family Service will be held at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, Thamesville. Interment Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville. A Celebration of Lillian’s Life will be held at the Rutherford Fire Hall on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. If desired donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
