Obituary of Evelyn Rose Guthrie

Evelyn Rose (Smith) Guthrie, formerly of Wallaceburg, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the Lambton Meadowview Villa LTC in Petrolia at the age of 93.  Born in Wallaceburg, the daughter of the late Clare and Margaret (McDonald) Smith.  Beloved wife of the late Robert Lloyd Guthrie (2012).  Loving mother of Barry Guthrie (Barbara) of Wallaceburg and the late Paul Guthrie (2001) (Kathy) of Oshawa.  Loving grandmother of the late Lee-Ann Virani (2023), the late Michael Guthrie (2020) and Robert Guthrie of Oshawa.  She will be missed by her great-grandchildren Jamal, Alicia, Mackenzie and Andrew.  Dear sister of the late William (Bill) Smith and Marjorie VanSickle of Chatham.  Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.  Evelyn loved knitting, sewing, gardening, cats, playing cards and of course trailering around the country with her late husband Lloyd. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North St., Dresden on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 11:00 with a light lunch to follow.  Inurnment will take place at the Dresden Cemetery following the lunch.  Everyone is welcome to attend.
