I was deeply saddened to learn of Deane's passing. I worked for him back in the 70s for a couple of years and again at the turn of the century. I have the highest respect and admiration for him. He had a keen, decisive mind and an amazing degree of knowledge of the business world. He was a very special person and the world is diminished without him in it. I offer my deepest sympathy to his family.
