Jeremy Morgan

Obituary of Jeremy Morgan

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Jeremy “Bubba” Morgan on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024. Born and raised in Dresden, Ontario, Jeremy was the beloved son of Bonnie Morgan (Mathieson) and Gus Morgan. Revered brother of his sister Sadina Morgan. Adored Uncle to his niece, Taylor McNally (Morgan) and her wife Alicyn McNally. He will be deeply missed by his aunts and uncles, by his many cousins and by his close-knit group of friends: Taylor, Chad, Jay and the rest of their crew.

Jeremy was affectionately referred to as the “gentle giant”, a very fitting nickname for a man of his stature and of his warmth. Jeremy was creative. He was always tinkering with machinery, often covered in oil smears. He was “fixing up” a motorcycle and constantly had an ongoing project.

He was a smart, sensitive man with an array of interests and hobbies. He could often be heard quoting lines from movies with his niece, or loudly singing songs with her, or picking her up in his arms just because he “still could”. He loved to fish, to hunt. He unabashedly loved his parents. He loved to tease his sister whenever the opportunity presented itself, and he would say it presented itself quite often.

Jeremy was taken from us too soon in his 48th year and will be remembered fondly as a small town hockey boy with a spark for life, with a mischievous glint in his eyes. He had a charming sense of humour that could carry a conversation, and was always looking to make his friends laugh. He loved each and every one of his friends, and he was not afraid to tell them— he genuinely wanted the people in his life to know that they were loved.

It was an honour to know Jeremy and a great privilege to love him. He will be in our hearts forever and will be missed.

Jeremy did not wish to have a visitation, or a funeral service, or a celebration of life. His final wishes will be instead granted by his immediate family at “his spot” on his favourite beach, at sunset. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (https://www.heartandstroke.ca). Arrangements entrusted to the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, Dresden
