Such a sad, sad loss. Tom was a feature in my life ever since I was a child…at the hockey rink…in my home…a family friend and an important part of my Moms life as Inwas growing up and again as man with my own children. Always so kind. Always so generous. He added to this planet and took almost nothing. My deepest sympathies. A wonderful man that made my life better at every odd interval he entered it.

A week and half prior to his passing I was talking with Tom
and he offered to help me with cutting grass or anything else

Smitty and I were great friends of Henny & Carol many many years ago. When we met Tom he was a young man and then Smitty worked with him at Eaton's . As I remember all the Blommaert's had this wonderful smile and devilish grin. Tom used his years well and dealt with his illness exceptionally well. He made people smile and loved his life and his family . It was easy to see how popular he was at the celebration of life, everyone loved him. I hope his loved ones can find comfort in his love and carry on as he would have. Our sincere condolences

Tommy,
You were spoke of and thought of by several people at your 1974 Class Reunion on Saturday night. I new that you were not attending due to health reasons but no one expected to hear of your passing earlier in the week, Tom, you were a good friend to many people who attended the reunion and you were missed then as you will be missed now by the people that you touched during your life. You were a kind person and a very trusting friend when we were growing up in Dresden while trying to keep out of trouble. That was not an easy task some nights.
When you get to your final stop be sure to say hello to your old neighbour Larry and tell him that we will celebrate that 50 year reunion again.
