Obituary of John Stasse

John Stasse, a resident of Dresden, passed away suddenly at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024 at the age of 74. Born in the Netherlands, John and his parents (the late Hendrik “Hank” and Johanna (Kremers)) migrated to Dresden, Ontario when John was 5 years of age. Beloved husband of Betty (Tuckwell) Stasse; father to Jason, Clinton, and Beth Anne; and brother to Maurice Stasse, Henrietta (Gary) Webster, the late Geoffrey Stasse, and Richard (Carol) Stasse. John is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

John lived in Dresden for his lifetime and enjoyed travelling and sightseeing. John also was skilled in carpentry, and he and his father built the house that his wife and family still own and live in. John and Betty also just recently celebrated their milestone 50th wedding anniversary.

Cremation has taken place. The Stasse family would like to invite family and friends to a celebration of life for John at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 113, 180 St. George St, Dresden, Ontario on Saturday, November 23 from 1:30pm – 5:00pm
