Obituary of Steve William Markowski

Markowski: Steve, a resident of Thamesville, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the age of 87. Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan son of the Late Nick and Mary (Chickowski)) Markowski. Steve owned and operated Markowski Bulldozing for many years. He was a member of the Thamesville Legion and the Sertoma Club, Steve loved to fish and play euchre and darts at the Legion. Steve and Mary enjoyed many years at their cottage at Long Point. Beloved husband of 68 years to Mary (Snary) Markowski. Loving father of Dennis (Dawn), Brenda Myers (Mike), Brian (Mary), Kevin (Wendy), Sue Myers (Bill). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Melissa, Jeff (Martha), Diane (Justin), Darryl (Missy), Paul (Drea), Rachelle, Christan (Dan), Rick, Tiffanie, Stacie, Jeremie and great-grandchildren Mataya, Taryn, Dryden, Ella, Griffin, Josie, Zack, Stella, Georgia, Tommy, Nikola, Alivia, Charlotte, Ariana, and Makenna. Dear brother of Dave Markowski (Jean). Predeceased by son-in-law Maurice Myers, his sisters Gladys, Emily and a nephew Dan Markowski. At Steve’s request a Private Family Service will be held. Interment Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville. A Celebration of Steve’s Life will be held at the Thamesville Legion on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM. (everyone welcome).
