Obituary of Ed Ovecka
Edward Ovecka, a resident of Croton, passed away peacefully Friday, January 3, 2025 at Chatham Kent Health Alliance at the age of 85, to be reunited with his wife Joanne (2023), Born in Port Hope, Ontario, November 25,1939. The son of the late Nick and Anna Ovecka (Vanek). Loving Dad of Richard (Tracy), Russ (Sherri) and Randy (Mark). Proud Grandpa of Annette Doskas (Chris), Christopher Ovecka (Alicia), Shelby Ovecka-Richards (Greg), Mark Ovecka (Victoria), Steven Ovecka (Braidyn), Morgan Ovecka, Chantelle Jones (Brad), and Daniel Ovecka. Cherished Great Grandpa of Lilliana, Cohen, Brylee, Cambree, Keegan, Brantley, Kristian, Erikson, Talina, Jareth, Lillith, Damian and Jackson. Dear Brother of Mary Pavlinak and Julie Callow (Randy). Sadly missed by Brothers-in-law Ernest Gruberbauer (Leona) and Willy Pavlinak (Ruth) and Sister-in-law Carolyn Collins (Bill) and Carmen Eskritt (George). Also missed by several nieces and nephews.The Ovecka family will receive family and friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St, Dresden on Monday from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held from the Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Dresden Cemetery. A Luncheon will be held following the Interment at the Old Czech Hall.
