Merriam: Frederick J. “Fred”, a resident of Glencoe, passed away peacefully at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Friday, June 3, 2011 at the age of 65. Born in Euphemia Twp., son of the late James H. and Viola (Joyce) Merriam. Loving father of Frederick J. Merriam (Mary) of Glencoe, and Christopher Merriam (Joyce) of St. Thomas. Loving grandpa of Ashley, Cody, Alex, Zack, Tim, Jeff and great-grandpa of Cherelle and Sebastian. Best friend of Debbie Van Raes of Glencoe. Dear brother of Norma Shaw of Chatham, Irene Ramey of Strathroy, Ruth Driessens (Jim) of Florence, Darlene Ameel (Dan) of Ridgetown, Melvin Merriam (Marilyn), Bill Merriam (Reta) , Joe Merriam, Stanley Merriam, Dan Merriam (Cheryl) all of Newbury, and Jack of Whiterock B.C.. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by his cat and dog Tillie and Katie. Predeceased by his son Franklin Merriam (1992). The Merriam family will receive friends at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Sunday from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. The Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 11:00am with Rev. Katherine Hawley officiating. Interment of Cremains in Johnston Cemetery.
