Evans, George C. a resident of Bothwell passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury at the age of 71. He was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland son of the late Chesley and Mabel (Purchase) Evans. Loving husband of Shirley (Campbell) Evans. He is survived by his daughters Yvonne & Paul and Juanita & Luke both of Newfoundland; 2 grandchildren; brothers Jim & Bridget Evans, Edmond & Charmaine Evans and Cyril & Debbie Evans; sisters Millicent & William Williams and Jeanette Piercey; step daughter Evelyn Thody; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Robert Evans (2001). The Evans family will receive friends at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Sunday, November 7, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. There will be no funeral service. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Lung Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
