We hope that knowing that others care will bring strength and comfort at this most difficult time. You probably don't remember me; but Ben and I met at the Bothwell Arena and became good "coffee" friends. Oh so many years ago - in fact our son played for Moraviantown (with Ben as a coach) when he was a PeeWee. He still has the jacket. Good memories!

So sorry to learn that Ben has passed. My Dad, Dana Gammage used to visit him weekly for gas and cigarettes. We used to stop in after my Dad died and say hi. I once had to frame up a photo for the Legion and he was always going to come to my shop and have a professional one taken. Great man - he will be missed by all his family, friends and customers!

Hello Whiteye family, so sorry to hear of your loss. It's been quite a few years since I spoke with Ben, moved quite some time ago. Ben was always pleasant and always had a kind word. We spoke vicariously through my parents on occasion, as when he would see them at the store or in town he would always ask about me, how I was doing, etc. and I would send along my greetings when they mentioned him. Though my relationship was as an acquaintance to Ben, I can say he truly left his mark on me and there will be a hole where he once lived in my heart. Many blessings to you all, and I will mention you in my prayers. Once again, so sorry for your loss.

I remember Ben from when I was a little girl. My Grampbob (Bob Sharp), always took me to Ben's for a pop and treat. When my Grampbob died, Ben sent our family the most beautiful plant, something i've never forgotten.
