Obituary of Fred Joseph Evans
Evans: Fred Joseph, passed away peacefully in Chatham-Kent on Thursday, August 4, 2016. Born in Chatham on March 3, 1954, Fred will be deeply missed by his mother Pauline Evans (Kresan). Lovingly remembered by his siblings Larry Evans, Carl Evans, Anne Spurgeon; nieces and nephews Becky, Robert, Carol, Darlene, and Patrick. Fred's one and only pride and joy, his daughter Danielle Bird-Evans (Matt Ulch) and he recently became a proud grandpa to little Abigail Jade Ulch. Fred is fondly remembered by Danielle's sister Heaven List. He is predeceased by his father Joseph Robert Evans (1993) and his nephew Kiley (2013). Fred was a hard working man his whole life and unique in many ways. He retired from Navistar in 2004. Fred could be found gardening out at his brother Larry's and playing pool at the KBD in Chatham. He also enjoyed 4 wheeling and attending Nascar parties in Bothwell. He was always lending a helping hand to many. In his prime, Fred was an avid ball player and pitched for the Thamesville Colts, Sunshine Asparagus Farms and Nova Slo-Pitch teams. Life's simple pleasures kept Fred busy and happy, but his daughter blessed his heart. Fred was an excellent father, deeply caring and never missed a birthday or family celebration with Danielle. He will forever be in her heart. Danielle and the Evans family invite you to Celebrate Fred's Life with them at the Thamesville Legion, 32 Victoria Ave, Thamesville, on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 1:00PM - 4:00PM. A private family interment will take place at St. Paul's Cemetery, Thamesville at a later date. If desired donations to the Kent Bridge Minor Baseball Association or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Badder Funeral Homes,Thamesville.
