Burgoyne: Ronald S., formerly of Thamesville, passed away peacefully at Riverview Garden's, Chatham on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the age of 85. Born in Plumas, Manitoba son of the late Simon and Eva (Terry) Burgoyne. Ron was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Canadian Army for 21 years and had retired from Motorwheel . Beloved husband of the Late Ruth Burgoyne (2003). Loving father of Brenda Braun (Michael) of Ridgetown, David Burgoyne (Amy) of Pennsylvania, Peter Burgoyne of Wawa and Gary Burgoyne (Sherry) of Hamilton. Sadly missed by grandchildren Emily (Scott), Marshall (Karen), Angus, Ben (Terri-Lynne), Stephen (Karissa) and Rebecca (Chris), and great grandchildren Aislynn, Cohen, Alex, Joshua, and Evelynn. Predeceased by brothers Terry, Everett, Ken and Neil Burgouin. The Burgoyne family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Wednesday evening from 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Cremation with Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham at a later date. The Royal Canadian Legion Br.# 367, Thamesville will hold a Legion Service on Wednesday evening at 6:45pm. Donations by cheque to the Royal Canadian Legion Br.# 367, Thamesville or charity of one's choice would be appreciated. Online condolences and donations may be left at www.badderfuneralhome.com

My deepest condolences for your loss. I had the privilege of getting to know Ron when my Grandmother became close friends with him at Riverview Gardens. He was a gruff old fellow with a heart of gold. He helped make a very difficult transition much easier for her and us as her family.

I had the pleasure of working with Ron as a foreman and David at Motor Wheel and also worked for the cleaning co. that cleaned Rons apartment in Thamesville and can honestly say I`m saddened by his passsing. I know he was not well for the last years of his life but may I offer my condolences to the family and say he was a well loved and good man and he will RIP now.
