Gayle,
Bob was one of my favourites. He was fair, generous, trustworthy and honourable. He had the best sense of humour, and could laugh about himself as well. He was certainly too young to move on.
Bob made me think. Bob made me laugh. Bob made me try harder. Bob made my life better.
I am so sorry for your/our loss, and I hope you can forgive me for not being there for you. I have just learned of his passing right now.
Gayle, you are also one of my favourites. I totally expect to see you in the spring. I want you to know that the whole gang will be there for you. You and I will partner up, I can make you laugh, you can make me cry, and we'll let the rest of them 'think they beat us' in the end.
I still owe Bob for that glove. No, I didn't forget. Yes, it doesn't matter. However, you must give me a chance to make amends, see you in the spring.
P.S. Don't make me hunt you down, cause, I get lost in the woods just lookin for balls...
