Helen and family
I am so sorry to hear of Ernie's sudden passing. He was a great bus driver and gave so much to our community. He was also a great supporter of the Special Needs Classes at LCCVI. For many years he donated a limousine to our Move A Thon and this helped us raise thousands of dollars over the years to allow students the opportunity to go on some amazing end of the year field trips. His generosity was boundless. I will really miss seeing him in the fry truck at the Petrolia Fair each year.

Helen and family, it has been a joy and a privilege to become part of this family almost 5 years ago... and then so much fun to meet Ernie...Such a gregarious, fun and loving person... with a love of life so large - almost as big as his heart. We've enjoyed sharing time on the deck in Petrolia overlooking your well kept, beautiful gardens, laughing together and enjoying some wine in the summer sunshine. There was always laughter when Ernie was around and always smiles and great stories. I know we will share many of them many times, and we'll laugh together as Ernie would want us to. I will always carry that smiling face in my heart as long as I live. I know he must have had many friends in Florida as well as home, and I'm sure they too will carry fond memories of many happy times spent by the water and enjoying his animated company. No dull times with Ernie around. He is not one to be forgotten that's for SURE! May he rest in Heaven's eternal peace until I see him again.

Deepest condolences for your loss. Ernie was always a fun loving guy. I remember his laugh and smile. He was a great storyteller and kept us hanging on every word while we were laughing so hard tears would run down our cheeks. Many a card game was played at our house and our Dad's would be laughing so much they could hardly play. I remember how Ernie would drive my Dad crazy by getting up, walking around his chair to change his luck if he was losing at euchre-especially when he wasn't Dad's partner.
A sudden loss such as this will be difficult. Take care of yourselves and each other.
