Obituary of H. Robert Sutton

Sutton: H. Robert (Bob) a resident of Chatham and formerly of Dresden passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham at the age of 91. He was born in London son of the late Harvey and Marie (Wellard) Sutton. Bob was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 113, Kinsmen K-40 and the Masonic Lodge. He worked for many years at Crown Cork and Seal. He was a World War II Veteran – Airplane Mechanic and Bob enjoyed cottaging, fishing, gardening and travelling. Beloved husband of the late Grace (Barrett) Sutton. Loving father of Jim Sutton, Ann Kilbreath, Pat Potter (Barry), Ron Sutton, Bill Sutton (Marie), Ken Sutton (Sandra) and Cathy Labadie (Harold). Cherished grandfather of Kelly, Jeff, Adam, Carlo, Nina, Christina, Emily, Alexandra, Eric and Carolyn. Proud great grandfather of Alice, Lucy and Collin. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers and sisters John Sutton, Evelyn McClure and Donna Bachewich. The Sutton family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North Street, Dresden on Tuesday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held from the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday July 25, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Interment in Dresden Cemetery. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
