No Visitation Memorial Service at a later date Tinning, Helen Frances a resident of Dresden passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Petrolia at the age of 100. She was born in Scotland daughter of the late John and Frances Birnie. Helen was a long time member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Chatham and North Dresden Baptist Church. Beloved wife of the late Albert Tinning. Loving mother of Helen Okrucky, Barbara “Pat” Kentner, Grace Dakins, Tom Tinning and the late Carol Willson. She was a foster mother to 500-600 foster children. Cherished grandma to numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She is predeceased by 7 brothers and 3 sisters. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to Alzheimer Society or Palliative Care at Fiddick’s Nursing Home. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, Dresden.
