Janice and family,
My deepest condolences, I was so sorry to learn about your dad's passing. Janice, do you ever look like him and based on who he was and how he lived his life, I am sure you are a reflection of your dad in so many more wonderful ways. Although he lived to a good age, there is never the right time to lose someone so special and so loved. I pray you will all find comfort in fond memories and knowing that he is with his loved ones who have gone before him. May God grant him eternal rest and let the perpetual light shine upon him. God bless and keep you all during this tough time.
Lorraine Marchione,
City of Toronto

Janice, TJ and Nicole…
Your father, and grandfather Lonnie, as he is so affectionately known, has made an indelible mark in the lives of everyone he met. Although 27 years my senior, his youthful spirit, and strength of friendship had me believing that he was only a year or two older than I. As I think of it now, I must have worn him ragged as he and Juliette traipsed all over Ontario with us, exploring small towns and harbours, parks, and rivers, stores, and markets. I am thankful for the day I moved in next door to Lonnie and Juliette Taylor. They enriched our lives, and we are blessed to have had such good friends as the Taylors. How much I miss those days; how much I will continue to miss their friendship and companionship.
One of my fondest memories of your father was his famous “Coconut Bread”. I was fortunate that he often shared a slice or two with me, and sometimes even a whole loaf, but I do not remember him ever sharing the recipe. Perhaps I didn’t ask, perhaps I should have. No matter how many times I have tried to duplicate his recipe, I have never come close!
Lonnie's memory, and the memory of your dear mother Juliette, will live forever in the hearts of those who knew them.

May God bless and keep you pops. I was deeply honored to be your son in law and will always cherish our long and robust political conversations. You are truly a giant in your own right coming from humble beginnings and navigating your way thru very competitive Bahan sociopolitical environment to reach the very top. Some would say that been appointed Barbados High Commissioner to Canada is greater feat and honour than been appointed US Ambassador due to the long standing economic and political ties between Canada and Barbados. GodSpeed Pops ....your journey is over Sir You were Splendid Sir. REST IN PEACE FOR eternity Sir.
I LOVE YOU Pops.
