From The beginning of grade 9 this wonderful man was so pleasant to be around while he was working at LKCS. Always ready to chat always so kind. I remember chatting with him while waiting for the bus during my time in high school like it was yesterday. He was so delightful and then finding out he knew my mom so well and of course she always had great things to say about Gerry. Thoughts and prayers to you and the family so sad for everyone but know he was a very kind soul and I’m sure has touched so many lives especially Since my time chatting with him in high school was at least 40 years ago, and I can still hear his voice!
Deepest sympathies Wendy Welch

Gerald was a kind and generous man. Every year that I was at WDSS, Gerald came into the office to offer a sum of money to be used for students, who might not be able to afford tickets to the formals or other events at the school, so that they could. He never wanted his name attached to the donation, wishing to remain anonymous. I was touched by his sensitivity.
My sincerest sympathies Gerald's family. We've lost a good man.

Laurie and I would like to wish our deepest condolences to the Wicks family. Gerald was one-of-a-kind, one of the most upbeat, enthusiastic and genuine persons you would ever meet. Gerald would always welcome you like his best friend, and always with a great story from the past. He always took the time to chat and never spoke an unkind word about anyone. I always enjoyed the many visits with Gerald at Heritage Court and at Park St Place. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

For many years, Gerald Wesley was the first person I spoke to after coming in the back door of WDSS. He always had a joke to start the day on a high note. In later years, we played a lot of golf and celebrated lots of birthdays. I don’t think there was much that he could not do well. Gerald was a skilled ball player, an umpire, a hockey scout, and the best golfer I ever played with. It was an honour getting to know such a good man. Rest in peace, Gerald Wesley

Our sincere condolences to Mike and the entire Wick's family. I will always remember our after school conversations at DACS about baseball and family fun. Gerald was an inspiration to many, had a positive attitude towards life, a great sence of humour, a Dresden community icon and will be sadly missed by all.
